Our Programs

Making the Connection

Big Brothers Big Sisters of Greater Manchester's Big/Little matches come together through our three program models:
  • Community-Based Mentoring:

For as little as 2-4 hours, 2-4 times a month, Bigs and Littles meet in their community to share fun activities and a little bit of themselves.

  • Site-Based Mentoring:

Bigs and Littles meet one hour, once a week in schools, after school programs, libraries and community centers to talk and have fun. Sometimes Bigs and Littles work on homework or read together, and other times it's a board game, craft, or game of catch.

  • Caring Adults Promoting Student Success (CAPSS):

Mentors, who are college-educated, business professionals are matched one-to-one with a high school student all four years to help them navigate through and graduate from high school, as well as to prepare them for college and a successful career.
